GRAND SLAM

From Paris, Rome, New York, London... A Carnival of Thieves comes to Rio to make a Grand Slam!
A quiet yet cunning schoolteacher recruits an elite team of international criminals for the ultimate caper: robbing $10 million in diamonds from an impenetrable Rio de Janeiro vault at the frenzied peak of the city's Carnival. The planning is meticulous. The crime must run like clockwork. But even if they can pull off the most daring theft in criminal history, are the wildest surprises of all yet to come?

Often imitated but never surpassed, GRAND SLAM is a classic heist thriller in the tradition of RIFIFI, THE SCORE and OCEAN'S ELEVEN, with one of the best twist endings of the 1960s. Hollywood legend Edward G. Robinson, Klaus Kinski (NOSFERATU), Janet Leigh (PSYCHO) and Adolfo Celi (THUNDERBALL) head an international cast in this white-knuckle hit that also features an ultra-swinging theme score by the legendary Ennio Morricone.

NOTES

"One Of The Best Heist Movies!"
-Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times

GRAND SLAM is a wonderful heist movie! Ed Robinson plays a mild mannered school prof, who must have gotton tired of seeing the diamonds moving around in the building across the street from his class room, and so put together a little plan to go snatch em up!
He plans the whole thing out, timing, guards, key persons, equiptment, everything.
Then he recruits the guys for the job with the help of an old crime boss buddy of his whom he hasnt seen in 40 years.
It's a clasic suspense caper centered in gorgeous 60's Rion at the time of carnivale. The perfect crowd and cover for the intricate job.
Until things begin to go horribly wrong. Or do they?!?!?!
Muah HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHH ! With thieves it's so hard to tell!
Anyways ! It really is a great flcik for the lovers of high risk crime movies, enjoy!
